The Standards Commission is an independent body whose purpose is to encourage high ethical standards in public life through the promotion and enforcement of Codes of Conduct for councillors and those appointed to the boards of devolved public bodies.
Combined Councillors' Code of Conduct and Guidance 2024

The Standards Commission updated its Guidance on the Councillors' Code in December 2024. A version of the updated Guidance, with the Code embedded, can now be found on the website here.
