If you have any suggestions for topics you would like to be covered, please email: enquiries@standardscommission.org.uk

  • Social Media

    Several of the provisions within the Code can apply when a councillor or board member is using social media. These include ones concerning:
    • respect, bullying and harassment;
    • confidentiality;
    • relations with officers; and
    • the use of council or public body facilities.

  • Bullying and Harassment

    The Codes of Conduct make it clear that bullying and harassment is completely unacceptable.

    Bullying and harassment (which includes sexual harassment) can be a
    course of behaviour or a one-off incident.
