Decisions on Investigations

Where the CIO has concluded that there has been a breach of the Code, he reports that formally to the Standards Commission for Scotland. It is then the Commission who deals with the complaint. The Commission may publish its decision on the complaint on this web site under "Hearings" or "Cases no Action".

A full list of bodies covered by the powers of the CIO is available under the "Links" section on this website or by clicking on local authorities and public bodies. Together with the full list of bodies is information relating to member Registration of Interests and the Codes of Conduct for the public bodies. The Councillors' Code of Conduct is available under "Acts, Codes and Regulations section" on this website.

Up-to-date information as at 21 November 2008.
