Concluded Investigations Referred from PSC
Detailed below is a list of cases referred to the Standards Commission for Scotland (Standards Commission) by the Public Standards Commissioner for Scotland (PSC). Cases are only referred to the Standards Commission when the PSC has concluded, following the completion of his investigation into an allegation of misconduct, that a councillor or member of a devolved public body has contravened the relevant Councillors' or Members' Code of Conduct.
In those circumstances, the PSC will submit a report to the Standards Commission for Scotland under section 14 of the Ethical Standards in Public Life etc. (Scotland) Act 2000. Once this report is received, the Standards Commission may:
- direct the PSC to carry out further investigations
- hold a Hearing, or
- take no action
The table contains information relating to the alleged contravention, actions taken by the Standards Commission on receipt of the report from the PSC, and details of any Hearing that may be scheduled in relation to the case.
This page will be updated with information on the outcome of any Hearing once the parties to the Hearing have been notified of the outcome in writing. Details of the Standards Commission's Hearing Rules, including the timescale for providing a written decision to the parties to a Hearing, can be viewed by clicking on the link in left menu called “Hearing Rules.”
For further details of a particular Hearing Decision, please click on the case reference in the table below or use the advanced search in the menu to the left. Details of allegation. Where a case is yet to be heard, an indication of the alleged breach is provided under the link entitled "Details of Alleged Breach" for each case.
Please note details of individual cases are removed and thereafter deleted, in line with the Standards Commission’s information retention policy.
