Local Authorities

The Councillors from each of Scotland's 32 Local Authorities have signed up to the Councillors' Code of Conduct.  This document can be viewed by clicking here.  Each Councillor is also required to provide an entry on the Council's Register of Interests and links to these pages on each Local Authority's website are provided below.

Public Bodies

The public bodies covered by the Ethical Standards in Public Life etc. (Scotland) Act 2000 ("the Act") are required to produce their own Code of Conduct, based on the Model Code of Conduct for Members of the Boards of Devolved Public Bodies.  The resulting Codes are listed below along with links to the home pages of all of the bodies covered by the Act, and the Registers of Interests for their board members, where these are available.

This list of bodies will change from time to time as new bodies are added to the remit of the Act and existing bodies are either removed from the remit of the Act or abolished altogether.  Where a body has been abolished or removed within the last five years, the date of that event and a reason is given alongside the name of the relevant body.
